Has the military set up a fair treatment program for the soldiers retuning from war? No. A large problem has been accruing at the Fort Carson's Warrior Transition Battalion. Drug abuse and mistreatment of the returning soldiers has been found to be very prevalent in this recovery unit. Along with these problems long waits for medical discharges is another problem in the unit.
Many discipline problems have been noted at the unit some of which are as simple as not getting up in the morning to make morning formation. Could this be as simple as all of the drugs that the personal are taking is not allowing them to be able to get up in the morning. Most of the patients in the battalion are taking prescription sleeping pills.
